Dead Northern Code of Conduct for our Film Festival and Events

The Dead Northern Horror Film Festival and Horror Events endeavour to establish a secure, respectful, inclusive, and enjoyable environment for all attendees to engage with films and activities. This code of conduct applies to all individuals participating in the festival, including those engaging with our social media platforms. Attendees, staff, volunteers, vendors, and members of the press are expected to adhere to these standards. Dead Northern Horror Film Festival reserves the right to remove or prohibit individuals from attending the festival or accessing our social media channels if they fail to comply with this code.

WE STRICTLY PROHIBIT THE FOLLOWING BEHAVIOUR:

Intimidation or threats, offensive language, physical violence of any nature, inappropriate physical contact, unwelcome sexual advances, bullying or harassment, unauthorised photography, and video recording.

SPECIFICALLY CONCERNING:

Race or ethnicity, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, and religion.

WHAT TO DO:

If you witness or experience any inappropriate behaviour, please promptly notify the nearest staff member. The issue will be addressed accordingly. A festival manager will be summoned immediately upon receiving a complaint. They will gather information, address the issue, and take appropriate action.

Individuals wishing to file a formal complaint may do so by contacting info@deadnorthern.co.uk , where trained personnel will investigate.

All verbal and email complaints will receive a response within 24 hours during the festival. Privacy will be respected throughout the investigation process, and complainants will be kept informed and notified upon its completion.

If asked to cease any inappropriate behaviour, YOU ARE REQUIRED TO COMPLY IMMEDIATELY. As previously mentioned, the Dead Northern Horror Film Festival reserves the right to refuse admission.

Persistent misconduct will result in expulsion from the event, with no refund of ticket costs.
